Creative Ingredients Used Various Other Booze
Despite being a comedian, the man who holds the title of "Drinking Ambassador to the World," takes it very seriously. Zane Lamprey is the host of "Three Sheets," a drinking show in which he travels the world to...well...drink. Along the way he has become an expert in all things alcohol, but not just the liquid itself. In his travels Lamprey explores the drinking cultures, the people and the hangover cures.
There are five types of distilling alcohol, which include brandy, vodka, whiskey, gin and tequila. They can be sipped straightly or can be used to create the base for cocktails and mixed drinks. As a bartender, you need to know the basics of each distilled spirit. For instance, you need to know how brandies are processed and what the familiar brandies are. Brandy has a rating system to describe its quality and you need to know about them thoroughly.
There are four traditional Scotch producing regions in Scotland. They are Campbelltown, Highland, Lowland, and Islay. The Island region (including Skye and Orkney) home to stellar producers like Highland Park and Talisker, is officially considered part of the Highland Region. There is excellent on-site care from an array of doctors and nurses right there at camp. They administer medications, and can even administer chemo treatments. CB: Well, it's two different ballgames. I do,(tie) you know, I call them art flies. I tie the Stonefly there; it just looks so beautiful. It looks like it could almost fly away. For fishing, well I change alot. I kind of think about what would the fish like today, I never get over it. I just do that. Right now I'm fishing a Bee pattern. I tied that with you; like the ant, the air-pocket ants we tied. I really do great with that. Also, the spider. In Woolly Buggers, we call it the "Deadly Spidoo".
Now the really difficult part! Shove a wooden cork into the bottle and set it on it's side in a cool dark place for a long time. Rotate the bottle 1/4 turn every several weeks. After one month the liquid will be starting to take on the proper color of whiskey. You can taste it, but it will taste like chewing on a charcoal briquette at this point, although it should have a quite nice smell. After 3-4 months it will taste like cheap bottom shelf wisky and still a bit charcoaly-not the best but certainly drinkable. After a year you will have something resembling the quality of Jack Daniels. The taste will not be the same, but the quality will be approaching it. The longer you wait the smoother your whiskey will be.
